They have created a brand around 2 human characteristics which everyone has.  Whether you see Ego and Greed as good or bad personality traits we all have them so creating a brand around them is very clever.

Not only have they thought up an interesting concept but they have also teamed up with a charity called AEGIS where they offer 10% off of their shoes and donate 5% of their sales to the charity every time you buy a pair of shoes with the promotional code.  A win-win for customers because not only are you getting your shoes for a discounted price but you are also supporting a charity and helping people in need.
