Wednesday 8 May 2013

The first run is now completed.  The 80's was a huge hit with the audience and so were the male models... Not surprised really when the audience is mostly female.  Some brilliantly fun pieces were showcased and I fell in love with a backless sparkly green top that one of Premiere Productions models was wearing.  Utterly beautiful and so elegantly modeled.

Everyone is now taking part in the swishing event and is stocking up on vintage accessories available for sale here at Fashion 360.  Spotted a Rolex watch in beside all the pieces so may have to go back and purchase that!  (I WISH)

The guys at Fashion 360 have done an amazing job and all proceeds made from the night are going to a local charity to me, CLAN Cancer Support.  So privelaged to be involved with such an incredible event.  Hearing very positive things from the guests so keep up the good work!

90's COME AT ME.

Dapper Clothing

Since January this year these guys nautical bracelets have been flying onto locals wrists and taking Aberdeen and Dundee by storm.  One of the cutest pieces I've seen in ages with the nautical theme.  The anchors on these bracelets are definately my favourite things about these lovely little accessories and they can go with any outfit.  Be it dressing down an outfit or dressing it up.  Get one of these on your wrists now ladies and gents.

Big things to come from this lot check them out on their Facebook page.

Fashion 360 Media Hub

The media hub I will be calling home tonight.  Phone in hand, laptop on my knees, one camera in the other hand and the other waiting for me to get happy snappy with it.
Aurum's new look is exactly the right venue for Fashion 360's.
It's making me want to walk the catwalk with these incredible ladies who will be gracing us with fashion from the 80's right up to todays latest trends.

Fashion 360 live blogger

So back stage here at Fashion 360 tonight.  Very very excited to be here and to be involved in such an amazing cause.  All the team have been spotted and are looking HOT.  Black seems to be the colour tonight for the team and black they are rocking.

Tonight we have some very special guests walking the catwalk with the Premiere Production models who are all looking stunning.  30 minutes and counting till the doors to Fashion 360 open.  If your not here then your missing out big time.

There are some brilliant pieces on auction tonight as well as the raffle and swishing event they are hosting.  A Karen Millen two piece and a Barbour jacket are two of the hottest items up for grabs tonight.  Not going to lie I am VERY tempted to try get my hands on that stunning two piece.  Already donated some of my dresses for the swishing event and looking forward to seeing everyone getting their hands on some cute numbers.

I'll be updating you with all the latest from Fashion 360 tonight and look forward to seeing and snapping the show.  Lights, Camera, strut your stuff.

Fashion 360

Love clothes?  Love fashion? Love a cheeky bargin?  Well listen up.

Fashion 360 is an event for you!  Run by a team of Robert Gordon University Communication and Media students in Aberdeen the group are plannng on hosting a Fashion Show and Swishing Boutique on behalf of the local chatrity CLAN Cancer Support.  The event is celebrating 30 years of CLAN and 30 years of fashion as part of CLAN's 30 year anniversary.

The Fashion 360 event will take place on the 8th of May 2013 at Aurum Nightclub from 7pm.  The event will include a fashion show with models from Premier Models strutting their stuff down the catwalk accompanied with some CLAN representatives and a swishing boutique for all the guests to take part in on the night.  The whole idea behind the swishing boutique is that guests will take a few items of clothing or accessories with them to then exchange for tokens so that they can exchange their tokens for new items available that other people have donated to the boutique.

I was invited along to Fashion 360's lock in at the CLAN charity shop where the team got together to pick out pieces to create the outfits for their fashion show.  I had so much fun pulling together pieces from the 80's right through to the noughties.  Check out some of the pieces that will be making their way down the runway.   (All pieces used in the fashion show will be clothes that have come from the charity shop including accessories too.)

Mella Boutique

Based in Essex the young business, Mella Boutique only recentley started up a few months ago by a determined young woman called Jenna whose dream it has been since she was a little girl.  Jenna has always loved clothes and even from a young age was helping to style her mum's outfits by picking statement pieces out for her to wear .

At the age of 16 she left school and went to London to study at the Fashion Retail Academy where she then spent three years studying Fashion Retail, Buying and Merchandising. Her final year involved a major project that allowed her to focused on a business plan for her pride and joy, Mella.  She passed with distinction for this and this platform has allowed her to mould and craft Mella into an incredible business.

This ambitious young woman has gained a lot of experience over the years working at Cath Kidston head office, JAEGER head office, John Lewis Head office and ASOS where she is still currently based.

Mella Boutique is ran in Jenna's spare time and she uses her holidays to go shopping for new and exciting pieces to sell.  Her collections are bang on trend with a stylish twist of her own added to some pieces.  This month Mella boutique will be going online for the first time ever and will allow fashion forward girls to get their hands on the beautiful and unique pieces Jenna has managed to get her hands on that us online shoppers can never seem to find.

Mella is not just only a credible achievement to Jenna but is also an inspiration to every girl out there that your dreams can come true.

Here are a few statement pieces I have picked from Mella Boutiques instagram and facebook pages that I loved!  You can see the rest of her collections on the Facebook page and their Instagram page.

Go check out their exciting new clothes now!

Hayley Scanlan

This Scottish born designer is an inspiration to us all.  Taking something she has so much passion for ans turning it into her dream job has been one of Hayley's main goals since she was little.  After learning the craft of dress making from her Grandmother, Hayley has now established her own womenswear label in 2011 and in 2012 she received the Coveted Young Designer of the Year Awards.  She also has two beautiful twin boys to look after whilst being a full time desinger.  All in a days work!

The Dundee lass has been very popular with the celebrities and the likes of Jessie J, Marina Diamandis, Little Mix and Stooshe have all been spotted wearing her designs.  She now has a studio in Dundee and you can also purchase her pieces online on her website Hayley Scanlan and also at stud and stud.  Hayley is a womenswear designer who loves working with printed textiles and adding hand embelishment detail to every piece she makes.

These piece's are not for your play it safe plain Jane's.  Hayley's clothes are for women who want to make a statement and love having fun with their clothes.
Hayley also had an amazing opportunity and has interned for designer Jeremy Scott in Beverly Hills who also loves crazy and different prints!

Below are some pieces from her Velvet Venom and New Fronteirs

These are some of my favourite picks from her New Fronteirs collection

The stud detail on this dress is to die for.  THIS  is my favourite jacket ever.  It has everything.. The fun shoulder pads, studs and has been beautifully tailored that would slim out any figure.  I love the gold studs and they look brilliant on the "painted on" black look with white as the base colour

The slits up the dress create a fun,
playful look to this dress.
The pattern is simple but yet effective.
And who doesn't love studs?
The print on this dress is my favourite
out of them all.  The back of this dress
is perfect, shows enough skin to be
sexy but isn't too revealing.
Perfection.

Celebrities spotted in Hayley Scanlan's designs.
